Built off of a new manufacture semi-automatic only MA & T Inc. sideplate along with commercial and military surplus Browning Model 1919 components. An air-cooled variant of the earlier Model 1917 water-cooled machine gun, the Model 1919 was developed shortly after World War I and became the standard medium caliber machine gun for the U.S. and several other nations throughout and after World War II. This example is currently configured as a M1919A4, which was the general purpose version for fixed positions and vehicles. Features folding blade front and adjustable peep rear sights, ventilated barrel shroud, cast metal pistol grip, and color coded push-button safety. The right side plate is marked with the manufacturer's address, model, caliber and serial number. Includes a generic hard case, "COVER SPARE BARREL M9" marked web barrel pouch, M1919A6 pattern barrel shroud assembly (minus bipod legs), a spare standard profile "SAK" marked chrome lined barrel, a spare light profile "P RIA" marked chrome lined barrel, "6-72" dated LMC "CAL. 30. Excellent as built by MA & T Inc., retaining 97% plus parkerized finish with scattered minor handling marks, scrapes, faint edge wear, and slight discoloration. The case and tripod are fine. Accessories are very fine. Mechanically excellent.
