Philip Bond is recorded as active c. 1794-1816 at 45 Cornhill in London. These pocket pistols feature blued barrels with engraved bands at the borders and studs on the bottom for removing the barrels using the barrel wrench included in the case for reloading. The brass frames have "P=Bond/No 45/CORNHILL" on the left sides and "LONDON" on the right sides along with some martial engraving and Tower private proofs at the breech. They are equipped with sliding half-cock safeties that lock the frizzens closed and have walnut butts with silver wrist escutcheons engraved with "AG/to/AC." The case has a reproduction Edward Bond label inside the lid, oiler, powder flask, and barrel key.
Very good with attractive aged patina and distinct inscriptions on the silver, 40% blue remaining on the barrel, aged patina on the brass, legible markings and engraving, and mild overall wear. The butt is also very good and has some dings and scratches. Mechanically fine. The relined case and accessories are also very good and have mild age and storage related wear.
