U.S. Springfield Model 1880 hunting knife numbered "647" on the brass guard and marked "U.S./SPRINGFIELD" on the other side. With leather scabbard carved with inspector initials "LIET". Fine, blade mostly bright with some scattered darker patina and light surface pitting, attractively aged brass, some minor chips and handling marks in the grip, and the sheath showing moderate wear.
