Consignor information indicates this carbine was manufactured by Colt as a sales sample for the Mexican government. Similar carbines were eventually manufactured for a Mexican government contract, with most of the examples either never being delivered or returned, and subsequently sold commercially. This example is marked with the Mexican seal and "S.D.N. MEXICO D.F." on the right of the magwell, with standard Colt markings and "M4 CARBINE" nomenclature on the left. It shows standard features along with Magpul MOE pistol grip and adjustable stock, MBUS rear sight, and Knight's Armament handguard. Includes the original matching box, manual, additional unopened Magpul magazine, nylon web sling, lock, and cleaning tools.
