Description:These distinctive turret rifles were manufactured by G.P. Foster of Taunton, Massachusetts, in the 1850s based on Parry W. Porter's patent. Many do not fit neatly within the First, Second, and Third Model variations listed in "Flayderman's Guide" such as this example with a round pivoting magazine cover.
