Rating Definition:Very good as period refinished, with some scattered light pitting, scratches and dings, and visible cylinder scene and markings. Barrel has been period shortened. Grip is good as re-oiled, with general light wear, scattered dings and scratches, and the noted period carved notches. Mechanically fine.

Description:Manufactured in 1858. Matching visible serial numbers on the barrel, wedge, frame, trigger guard, butt, and cylinder pin, with factory error number "147938" (9 in place of 6) on the cylinder.
Rating Definition:Good with some original finish on the grip straps and trigger guard with otherwise mostly brown and gray patina, some scattered light pitting, visible cylinder scene and markings. Grip is very good, with an absent small chip at the bottom rear corner on the right, some scattered light scratches and dents, a few small areas of outer flaking, and defined edges. Mechanically fine.
