These unusual rifles are generally believed to have been produce in Nepal in the 19th century. At one point they were attributed to the firm of D.C. Hodgkins & Sons of Macon, Georgia, and thought to have been used by the Confederacy. This one is equipped with a larger caliber than usual rifle-musket barrel.
