Description:
Springfield Model 1880 Hunting Knife with sheath. Brass guard marked "U.S./SPRINGFIELD" on one side and "531" on the other. Hanger on the sheath marked "R.I.A." with traces of a Watervliet Arsenal stamp on the leather. The canvas belt is marked with "ANSON MILLS. PAT. FEB 1. 1881". The belt is excellent. The knife is fine with a small nick in the edge, pitting on the blade concentrated on the tip, the sheath is fine with some age cracking.
