PRF - PROFESSIONALLY REFINISHED OR RESTORED
Manufactured in 1851. With only 2,700 Second Model Dragoon revolvers manufactured in 1850 and 1851 before the Third Model came on the market, makes this model the scarcest of the three models. This particular revolver is extremely rare in that it is one of only a few hundred that were issued to the New Hampshire and Massachusetts militias. These Dragoons fell into the serial number range of 10,000 to the early 11,000. The left side of the barrel is marked " NEW HAMPSHIRE". The revolver was professionally embellished with floral vine and punch dot engraving covering at least 90% of the revolver. The standard markings remain and all numbers match. Comes in a period wooden case with green velvet lining (relined). In the case are approx. 24 lead bullets, an iron Colt and "44 H" marked two cavity bullet mold and an empty Eley Bros. cap tin.
