Manufactured 1880. Included is a gun belt rig and spurs with similar decoration, and a fine white and red cowboy outfit, the shirt adorned with embroidered roses, rhinestone accents, and the "MM" monogram of noted roper Montie Montana. Born Owen Harlen Mickel, Montie was a noted star of film and rodeo shows and a traditional participant in the Rose Parade, as well as a friend to a who's-who of Western legends and multiple American presidents. All items in the lot are attributed as his, and related papers, including a copy of his autobiography "Montie Montana: Not Without My Horse" are also included; an identical (possibly the same) outfit can be seen on page 318, dated to the 1993 Rose Parade.
