Manufactured in 1870 (Third Model) and subsequently engraved. An extensive scroll engraving on a punch dot background is featured on the receiver. The scrollwork extends to the buttplate tang and forend cap. Spurious "LDM" initials appear on the underside of the receiver. A floral blossom on a dot background is engraved on the cartridge elevator, and engraved accents (cross hatching, scrolls and entwining lines) are featured on top of the receiver. The top of the barrel has the two-line Winchester address/King's patent dates marking ahead of the fixed replacement rear sight. Mounted on a plain straight grip stock.
