| Description: | Manufactured circa 1946. Double ivory bead sights on the matte solid rib. The left side barrel is marked "WINCHESTER - 12 GAUGE / 2 3/4 CHAM.", the bottom of the right barrel is marked "MOD." and the left "FULL.", Winchester proof steel marked and each flat is marked with the Winchester oval proof. The water table is marked with the three line "MADE IN U.S.A. MODEL 21 / WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. / NEW HAVEN, CONN." on the left side and the right side is marked with the winchester oval proof and the U.S.A. patent numbers. Single trigger with selector, tang mounted automatic safety, ejectors and mounted with a checkered beaver tail walnut forearm and flat bottom pistol grip stock with a replacement solid rubber Winchester recoil pad. Length of pull is 13 3/8" | ||
| Condition: | Excellent as modified (stock shortened) with 98% blue finish remaining, showing some mild edge wear and some minor flaking on the trigger guard plate. The markings are light on left side of barrel, but writer believes that to be a worm roll die as the internal inspection revealed crisp Winchester verified proofs. The stock has had approximately one inch in length removed and the checkering remains sharp. The wood overall, shows a few scattered minor dings and dents. The markings are clear. Mechanically excellent. | ||
